Volume II: A Study in Motif- Carrie

Every pattern starts somewhere small. Carrie began as a single motif, lifted from a section of the original painting, then doubled, mirrored and set loose across the cloth, the way a story changes a little each time it’s retold.

The result is a composition built in layers: circular medallions set deep into an olive ground, framed again and again in bands of rose, blue and burnt orange, giving the eye something new to discover with every look.

The layered ornament has the weight of something old, the kind of pattern you might find worn into a floor or carved into a doorway, while the repetition and reflection feel distinctly of now. Classic, with something a little unexpected.

How To Wear: Wear it loosely knotted at the neck, draped over the shoulders, tied at the waist or wrapped around the handle of a favorite bag. A silk square is made to be played with—styled differently depending on the day, the outfit or the mood.
